Such a short time I knew you,
So many fond memories and smiles,
I’ll hold on to that.
Because we were like poison to each other,
Want causing anguish,
And need, misunderstanding.
Lustfully courting disaster.

And now you are gone,
Ripped away in anger.
But yet, still missed.
My thoughts turn to you often,
Everyday moments I’d like to share,
And I catch my breath,
In a soul searing, tragic wave of despair.

Yes, still much missed.
My bitter sweet realisation,
You are no longer wanted my darling.
I’ve reclaimed my peace and find it suits me,
I’ll find a way to feel alive again,
Without the destruction.
Stronger for having cared foolishly.
