The key to a successful fantasy world is to keep it contained within the realms of your imagination, the pages of a book or a perfect small bottle.
You need to be able to see inside and touch its elements with your mind, to explore its possibilities and investigate the depth of your soul within those created safe walls.
It’s there as a tool to enliven you, show you joy, make your world sparkle, make you experience every breadth and depth of what you are capable of, the good, the heightened, the tragic, the tears. It’s there to make you feel things that this constricted world of societally acceptable pressures will not allow.
Just don’t let it leak, don’t let the worlds get blurred, nobody gets to see inside your head and there in lies freedom.

Fantasy is like the bedroom you go to each night. The fact that you can take your rest and go back to the world the next day with your strength restored is because there is a wall around it to keep you safe from the troubles of that world for a time.
And fantasy is a compensation for the frustrations of life that keeps the corrosive effects of resentment at bay.
