“It’s going to be a long winter.”
The sigh resonates from many echos,
Many souls feeling it’s ripples.
Autumn has arrived,
So wet and windy,
Spirits downcast by
Seeming eternal gloom.
We are cast away
By our despair.
Look, look at the ever moving clouds,
Look at the changing colours,
The leaves are falling,
The world is preparing
For slumber.
So, sleep a little,
Dream a little,
Take a breath and breathe a little.
This too shall pass.
Make a point of finding joy,
In every day.
Just small, simple sparks.
Try smiling for no reason
Behind your mask.
