Thinking about tomorrow,
And all the yesteryears.
The choices and plans
That got me to today.
The right turns
And the wrong ones…
The people who left
And those that stayed.
Do we all reflect
And wonder what might have been?
As we grow older?

“The people who left… / Do we all reflect / And wonder what might have been?” What a poignant thought. I know I generally reflect too often on those who have left, wondering what became of them, what might have happened if they’d stayed. It’s hard not to, when some (more specifically, one) of them still possess a huge chunk of my heart. This is a really nice piece, Juliette. 🙂

Thank you Mike. 🤗
I like to think people touch our lives, and we theirs, for reasons in the ‘big picture’ and we aren’t always aware of the lessons we are a part of.
Level up day tomorrow… 51 years of thoughts. It’s been an odd start to this decade.

yes, I do occasionally reflect on those sliding door moments; some good poetry comes from such reflections —
