Storm Francis has been whipping away at the country for the last few days. Thankfully today it eased. We were left with a slightly blustery but calm day with sunshine and a huge need to get out of the house!
But! I don’t want to go far and I don’t want to go near anywhere peopley 😣
I’d been talking to a friend recently about historical sites in my beautiful county of Wiltshire and thought the kids and the dog might enjoy a quick trip to the West Kennet Long Barrow.

There’s a very spiritual feel inside the barrow, like a place of worship that is much used.

Apart from my darling children’s tendency to irritate the hell out of each other, it was a good trip 😂

Envious, has been a couple of years since junior and I were there last. Great photos, thank you for sharing.

I did enjoy this photo posting. Several years ago I visited Salisbury (& Stonehenge) by bus and noticed field after field of these ancient mounds.
